Mallory

"She's 7 weeks"

i am going to make mallory a shirt that says “i’m seven weeks!”.

so this morning, rick & i are at breakfast with mallory at a little breakfast spot near the hotel. the family sitting behind us noticed mallory (which was easy to do since she was sqwaking out of hunger or being tired ~ am i bad mom that i don’t know the different cries yet?). anyway, they asked how old she was and when we said “seven weeks”, the mom said “wow! seven weeks? you are probably happy to just be out of the house!”.

how do i nicely say this:
*i took mallory to target when she was four days old.
*i left her at home alone with her grandma when she was four days old (only for 20 minutes).
*by the time she was a week old, she’d been in three of the four ice rinks in ann arbor.
*rick & i went out for dinner with the Fish & Hens when she was 2.5 weeks old, leaving her with my sister.
*i played hockey when she was 4 weeks old (only a practice but still).
*when she was 6 weeks old, we took her to a Red Wings hockey game.
*when she was seven weeks old, we got on a plane and flew to California.
*when she was 7+ weeks old, we spent the day at Disney and she actually rode on some rides.

so i guess i just feel sorry for the people who feel like they can’t get out of the house because they have a new baby. i know some babies aren’t allowed to leave the house because they are high-risk, etc, and i should knock on wood that we are blessed with a healthy baby.

we might walk down to Rodeo Drive today – add that to the list of her accomplishments!

go blue!
