Mallory

Randomness

We’ve had a rough week in our house. Rick has been really sick with the flu, missing 3 days of work including a work party at the Chophouse with free drinks & food (Rick has never been one to turn down free food & drink!). He has been running a fever since Thursday so I’ve been playing nurse to him, while being a single parent to Mallory. So far Mallory & I have been able to avoid catching whatever nasty bug Rick has and I am anxiously awaiting Rick’s recovery so I can get some help with Mallory! She is getting so squirmy, not wanting to sit still, constantly reaching for your cell phone, tv remote, or whatever it is that causes her to almost do a header off your lap. We went shopping with Gigi on Sunday and for the first time she was having NOTHING of sitting in her carseat while we shopped; so we sat her up in the seat in the cart – talk about being in heaven! She looked like such a big girl, flashing smiles at everyone. So fun.

Anyway, here is where the randomness of my thread title comes in. We took some cute pics of her this weekend that I wanted to share:

lets go blue! We were all ready to head down to the final Michigan spring football practice on Saturday before Rick came home from work early…but Mallory was ready for the game ~~ all decked out in her Michigan gear!!

dsc02544_cropped_bw.jpgAnd Sunday I decided Rick needed to get some fresh air (plus I needed a little break) so we took MC for a walk in her new carrier. It was pretty sunny out so she needed her sunglasses. She was TOTALLY chillin’ in the Kelty carrier. Good thing she’s getting used to those sunglasses…she’s hopefully going to need them on the lake this summer!

I’m off to early bed tonight. With Rick’s sick cough keeping me up every night, and the excitement of Emily’s baby’s impending arrival last night, I haven’t been sleeping so well.

Please hurry and get here spring. We need nice weather!!!
