Mallory

Good Sharer

This kid cracks me up. Mallory’s new thing (well one of a few new things) is that she wants me to have her pacifier. She will pick it up and shove it in my mouth. And then start laughing. Remove pacifier and repeat. Over and over.

Another newish thing – if she’s sitting on the floor near me, she lunges and grabs at me until she can start crawling up me. I have mixed emotions about the day she will run and collapse into my arms because I am the only one she wants (the mixed emotions part comes in because I don’t want her mobile too soon).

We have conquered almost all baby foods – last night was applesauce, which she LOVED. We’ll have to get grandma to make her some of her special homemade applesauce! And we have introduced Cheerios – now I have to get one of those Cheerio tupperware bowls with a lid that they have hanging in the cereal aisle. But we don’t know how many Cheerios she actually eats versus how many end up stuck to her hands & face versus how many end up in the highchair for Cooper to finish off.

  1. that is so cool – i love reading your blog because i get ideas – i was wondering when we could start cheerios – they don’t choke on them? what do you do to give them to her and do you just give her regular cheerios? jack so far has only had sweet potato, avocado, bananas, and cereal. grandma made some homemade applesauce so he will get that this weekend – i want to try some beans/peas but i think i am not going to tackle making those on my own- i will get some jars!!! jack also loves to crawl up us and grab onto our clothes – he is SO close to crawling but i think it will still be awhile! we are starting “playpen” time to get him used to it so that when he IS mobile i can get a few things done while he is playing in a safe place!
