Mal-Star & I headed west Saturday to visit Mol-Star & Manda-Star for a wonderful brunch prepared by Molly’s folks. We had a great time just spending time with good friends – we did a little swimming, a little sunning, and a lot of chatting. Mallory was adorable as usual, she sat and played by herself for a bit so that we could eat. When it was her turn, she actually got some waffles and bananas and egg yolks. (It is so fun giving her “real” food – it will make life so much easier when I don’t have to pack cereal and baby food whenever we go somewhere at meal time!)
I am trying really hard to find the original star sunglasses picture, circa 1987, but here is the 2007 version with our girls. Those are real sunglasses, even though it looks like I used MS Paint to draw them on there. LOL.
Here is my new all-time favorite picture of Mallory & me. Too bad she doesn’t like to wear her sunglasses anymore!! She is wearing a 12M bathing suit which is already a pain to get on & off her…I wish I had a dollar for everytime I heard “well, she doesn’t miss many meals…”. Reminds me of a friend of mine who, when he saw a baby picture of me, said “you certainly weren’t lacking for nutrition as a child”. Thanks.
Here is the pumpkin head driving the boat, well on her way to becoming a lake kid. As you can see she is getting more comfortable with the lifejacket (thank goodness).
Mallory just found out last night that she has power over the dog…in the form of food. While sitting in her high chair, she could see him watching her, so she put her arm over the side and let him lick her hand, and then she looked up at me with a HUGE grin – she TOTALLY knew what she was doing. I was CRACKING up!!
that picture of you and mallory is so adorable! i love it – (: WAFFLES? I need to get moving with feeding jackson fun stuff!
