First football game this afternoon!! The car is all packed, jello shots are ready and now I’m just waiting for Mallory to wake up.
I woke up extra early so that I wouldn’t forget anything so since I have a few minutes (I think) before MC wakes up, I’ll share some of Mallory’s latest tricks: She is getting BEYOND independent. If I’m walking with her holding her little hands in my fingers and I try to change her direction towards where I want her to go, she shrieks in protest and sits down. And she is obsessed with having her sippy cup in the little cupholder thingy on her highchair tray. Rick messes with her and moves it and she puts it right back. It is so funny. What I find interesting is that I don’t think we have ever showed her that cupholder so how does she know that’s where it goes?
As I write about how independent she is, I have to add that when she’s tired, all she wants is mama. Poor Rick can be trying to play with her on the floor and she wants nothing to do with it – she will crawl and chase me all over the kitchen so she can pull herself up on my legs. Sometimes I can continue doing what I was doing, just moving a little slowly with her attached to my knees but when she buries her head in my legs and whimpers, I cave.
Well, I should go get the pumpkinhead up for breakfast so we get to the tailgate on time. Stay tuned for pictures from Mallory’s first football tailgate and trip to the Big House. GO BLUE!
looking on the bright side, at least she will be able to say that her first football game was an upset greater than most any in college football history – lets hope next week goes better – on a practical note i am so impressed with you taking her to a day of UM football – how did she do? did she sleep at all? you probably have awesome seats because of rick…..
re-reading my comment, i am not sure that is really a bright side – so disregard!!!! (:
