Mallory isn’t a bad-luck charm for Michigan Football Team!! They finally won a game that she went to. YEAH!!! This narrows the superstition down to my lack of mid-game pizza procurement at the first two games of the season this year.
Mals lasted into the fourth quarter of the Purdue game yesterday and after we left, Purdue scored two-thirds of their points, so maybe Mallory is now good luck for UM’s defense and we shouldn’t have left early? She LOVED watching the band at halftime and was actually doing a little clapping. But with her jersey and blue sweatpants on, everyone kept saying “he’s a cute little guy” and “he’ll be playing for the team in a few years!”. Um, SHE is wearing pink shoes. Whatever.
We had her sitting on the seat between my mom & me for a bit and even though she couldn’t see the game, she was happy with her goldfish and sharing with us.
I’ll say this – I am in need of a hot tub, massage and chiropractor after carrying her in the baby bjorn on the front, and her diaper backpack on my back yesterday. She was 23 lbs as of all her doctor’s visits this week and that is no joke. Thank goodness she wants to walk so much because I can’t handle carrying her much longer!
Mama has hockey practice this morning and as soon as dad gets done with work, we’re off for the requisite trip to the pumpkin patch, so I hope the rain holds off.
Oh – here is my funny of the week…Mallory was born 6 days after Halloween last year and as mentioned above, is a little ginormous and has already outgrown 12-month clothes. I was looking at the “Baby’s first Halloween” shirts the other day and lamenting why they don’t make them in 18-mo sizes. LOL.
i was just wondering this morning if i could put jack in the front carrier now that he is 21 pounds – i guess i have my answer! although i had him in the backpack (like yours) while i vacuumed this morning and that was very painful and sore! i agree we need a spa day – i think that the first birthday should be all about the mama, who carried fetus around for 10 months, pushed it out, and then experienced a huge life change taking care of it for the past year! massages and spas for everyone! (:
