As you can see…Mallory has passed my SPATULA TEST! Yeah!! We got home from daycare today and I showed her the plastic spatula and off she went. She impressed the orthopedist this morning too; they are fairly certain it was that “transient synovitis” with no lasting concerns. Thank you everyone for your emails about our pumpkinhead over the past week. We are so grateful to have such great and caring friends.
Ok, enough sappy stuff.
For the most part Mallory has been beyond happy and chatty. She even “talked” to my mom on the phone for a few minutes Wednesday night, saying babababa and then mouthing the phone when I said “give Gigi a kiss!”. She hasn’t quite figured out how to hold the phone to her ear…but one of her little friends puts his hand to his ear everytime his mom’s cell phone rings. LOL!
With all of her improvements, she has had a few of her evening 5-minute meltdowns the past two nights (I’m sure tonight’s was a result of only sleeping 30 minutes at daycare). In the midst of tonight’s meltdown, while she was throwing her head back mid-scream, I noticed that she has TEETH coming in in the back on top. Hmmm…I’m sure that pain wasn’t helping with the other stuff we have had going on the past week. But now I don’t know if I should be freaked out that her back teeth are coming in out of order?
Anyway, here are some more pictures of our new & improved kid:
I gave her that little purse because she always wants to help carry her lunchbag out of daycare. So when we got home, I let her prance around with an old purse of mine. I wonder if we should be looking at dress-up clothes for birthday present ideas! And as you can see from the bottom right picture — she really is feeling 100%, what with her hands all in the dog’s water dish.
