Mallory

One and one

Wow, a girl turns a year and her mom stops writing about her. Ooops.

Crazy time-o-year for our household. I can’t believe the end of the season is almost here. I traveled to Wisconsin last weekend for the game so Mallory had a full day with Gigi (who was EXHAUSTED after chasing the pumpkin around). Big game v that team from down south this weekend. Lots of drama swirling…will H & H play? will LC retire? where will I spend my Christmas vacation?

Back to Mallory. She had her one-year appointment on her one-year and one-week birthday. She tipped the scales at 23lbs-8ozs and measured 29.5?. She spent most of the appointment in her diaper on the floor trying to put her shoes on (which made the doctor giggle) and the end of her appointment PI$$ED at the poking and prodding and shots. Turns out she has another ear infection but nothing major enough to treat right now. During her fit-throwing at having her ears looked at, I saw another big molar poking through on the bottom, and a big bulge across from it on the bottom. And her top molars are still working their way out – the outside edge is in the clear, and now the inside edge is peeking through…those are going to be TOUGH for her. Poor kid… if it’s not the ears, it’s the teeth, and if it’s not the teeth, its the bumps & bruises from getting braver with walking & running.

MCB & STB - 101307 - PurdueLots of family & friends in town for the Big Game so we are planning a little mini-birthday party for Mallory at the tailgate on Saturday with cupcakes, etc. Here’s to hoping the weather is pleasant and not too cold. I’d take the dry & sunny conditions like we had at the Purdue game…

Mallory & I messed with our outfits a little last Friday; I promise to return to the standard cheerleader outfit for her, and sweater/pant combo for me this Friday. I am not wearing any red or any variation/shade of red and have so far refrained from using a red pen this week.

GO BLUE!!
