I think one of the few things that bugs Rick about me is that I have about 20 bottles of lotion, 20 bottles of hair junk, and 20 things of lipstick that I never use all cluttering the bathroom closet and countertop and drawers. Whenever he proposes a “big clean”, cleaning my side of the bathroom is always at the top of his list. I have been slowly going through my inventory, mostly because I don’t replenish my stash like I used to (I buy diapers at Target now instead of body or hair stuff). This is actually pretty funny because I am so not a girly-girl but I love me some fancy smelling stuff.
Anyway, this was a big week for my little baby girl – we got to use her first hair “product”!
Mallory’s hair is pretty fine and thin, but she’s got some curls in the back that can get pretty unruly during the night. So I bought her some spray detangler that you can use on wet or dry hair so Rick can de-frizz her locks in the morning. She loves to carry the bottle around the house with her too. That’s my girl.

One other Mallory anecdote: I LOVE Mallory’s daycare. I feel 100% comfortable with them – I have never worried about her when she’s there, and I truly feel that they adore our sweet girl almost as much as we do.
Well, they do arts and crafts almost every day – this week they did a little Christmas tree out of construction paper, with felt ornaments (candy canes, gingerbread men, etc) glued on it and a picture of the your kid hanging off the bottom. Except Mallory’s tree also had a football ornament on it, which I thought was hysterical. They rock.
It’s a little sad because Mallory really likes it there too – there are some days that she doesn’t want to leave with me!

We are starting to pack for the bowl trip. This will be an emotional trip with all the impending coaching changes and it being Coach Carr’s last game. Another athletic department wife & I started a monthly bunco night for all the bowl-trip women – it was a perfect social activity to bring us all together. I’m so sad to have finally gotten to know some fun ladies and now people may get scattered.
Rick is pretty comfortable that he’ll survive the transition and I’m hoping like hell that he’s right (not that I wouldn’t mind him working a job with normal hours, but I’ve always told him that there are worse places he could work that would require him to work Saturdays in the fall).
Speaking of Rick, he is walking in the door so I bid adieu to you. Go Blue!
