For some reason we have yet to get Mallory out in the snow. Not for lack of snow, but I guess for lack of motivation by mom & dad. But we got some good snow while we were out of town and it continued last night and this morning. Mallory’s changing table is under her window and every time we go to change her diaper, she points out the window and says “NNNOOOOO” – it totally sounded like she was saying snow! So we bundled up the pumpkinhead and out we went. She had a hard time walking in the snow and kept falling over so she only lasted about five minutes.

Our second bottle-free bedtime was successful again. I have such mixed feelings about this ~ I know we need to have her off the bottles sooner than later (the pediatrician recommended having her off by 15-months, which is in less than two weeks) but it makes me so sad to pack up the last of the true “baby” baby stuff, you know?
UPDATED – one hour later – bedtime was unsuccessful – she woke up twice in the 2.5 hours since she went down. I caved and let her have a bottle and she still wouldn’t go down…argh!
we just had our 15 month check up today and she mentioned that i might want to wean him from the nighttime bottle – i really don’t want to. it is only 6 oz and i LOVE the cuddling time with him since he never sits still long enough to cuddle any other time – he also goes down perfectly and sleeps 13 hours a night and i do NOT want to mess with that in any way. i guess right now i don’t feel super pulled to do it- i know we have to eventually and i am sure it won’t even be that bad – what are you doing instead? are you giving her a cup of milk to drink before bed or just putting her down without a bottle – jack is SO used to this routine i cannot imagine changing it!!!
our daughter went to bed with bottles until she chewed right through a nipple…then it became clear it was time for sippy cups! she still goes to bed with a sippy cup of water….the only thing standing between us and the end of diapers, i am sure!
