Post started at 4.30p Wednesday January 23(?) Guam time.
I forgot to post about how warm the ocean is. It’s like bathwater, warmer than the pools.
Mallory wasn’t so sure about the ocean and it’s somewhat big salty waves. She played in it a little bit, “swimming” back and forth between grandpa and Rick, and then was able to stand up and walk where it was shallower.
She and grandpa went down the slide about five times in a row today. They would get to the bottom and Mals would do the sign for more so my dad would pick her up and halfway up the ramp, he’d say “grandpa needs a kiss before we go down the slide!”. Mallory would oblige and off they’d go. Rick said he did the same thing with her at the top of the slide…before they’d start going, she had to give daddy a kiss. I’m not sure if I like her giving kisses to get what she wants…seems like it’s starting a little bad behavior.
We went to Underwater World today. It is an aquarium tunnel that you walk through separated by only 3″ of Plexiglas. So there were fish swimming over us and the view was so undistorted, it seriously felt like you should be able to reach out and touch them! Mallory has started this new “squeak like a dolphin” talk when she is excited and she did that all throughout Underwater World. We have tons of video and will try to post as we go along here. If not, you’ll be inundated once we get back… :-)
I think we have a lot of pictures from today but it’s too late now to get them up (10p Guam time). I just noticed I left this unposted so I’ll hit publish and maybe see you all tomorrow!
