I think this is a record for length of time between posts, at least lately. I think I had been pretty good about getting something up at least every other day but life has been hectic lately I guess.
In the midst of the hectic-ness, I got myself a fancy massage. I really wanted to get one at the fancy spa at our hotel in Guam but my WWRS (What Would Rick Say) bracelet kept me from dropping the $$ on it. So I waited til we got home so I could use my gift certificates to the Aveda Salon here in town. I treated myself to a 90-minute body treatment – it was HEAVEN and my skin was so silky soft afterwards – just what it needed to slough off all the dead skin from the yucky weather combined with my mini tan from Guam. You aren’t allowed to tip at the Aveda Salon, so if you are in the area – the way I can tip Heidi the body treatment chick is by sending you to see her. She was fabulous.

We started another round of swim classes this week. Mallory has been eyeing her bathing suits hanging in the laundry room ever since we got back from our vacation. I’m sure she thinks we are a bunch of boring logs now that she isn’t going down a water slide daily. So when I asked her if she was ready to go swimming, she could hardly stand it. I didn’t know how to tell her there wouldn’t be a water slide at the community pool, but she liked the class anyway. Last time we took classes, the teacher didn’t have any structure – it was sort of like free time for 30 minutes and maybe she would give you some pointers. We heard that this other teacher actually sang songs and stuff so I thought we’d like it better. Well, poor Rick was in the water last night – I’m sure he would have taken the old teacher over having to sing “Row Row Row Your Boat” while going in a circle making a whirlpool with the other parents & tots in the class. He got out of the water and was complaining “I don’t know any of those songs”. LOL.

I had to babysit my sister’s kids tonight – she & her husband had an overlap in work schedules. Rick is out of town dealing with Adidas stuff (he was supposed to get back late tonight but I just got a call that his flight got canceled so I’m on duty in the morning too – ARGH). Anyway – I can never say no when my sister needs someone to help them out and watch their kids – she NEVER says no for all the millions of times we’ve asked her to watch Mallory. But I tell you what – adding one Mallory to her three has got to be infinitely easier than adding her three to my one. Holy chaos. Mallory & I got home at about 8p and she went straight to her crib. I went straight to the fridge for a Labatt Blue Light.
