Back story – Mallory had her first taste of chocolate milk last night. I squirted a few drops of Hershey’s syrup into her sippy cup of milk and handed it to her. She took a drink, looked down at the sippy spout like “what in the HELL was that???” and then got a GINORMOUS grin on her face. And then she went to town on that frocolate milk.
I called Mallory’s 7-yr old cousin Shane to tell him that Mallory had her first chocolate milk (that kid is a choco-holic). Here is our conversation:
Me: Hey Shane – Mallory had her first chocolate milk tonight.
Shane: Did she like it?
Me: Yes. She got a huge smile on her face when she tasted it.
Shane: (giggle) Does she like regular milk?
Me: Yes
Shane: Well, the only difference between regular milk and chocolate milk is that one is regular and one is chocolate so if she likes regular milk she should like chocolate milk.
This is the same kid who said Mallory couldn’t have Oreos until she had eight teeth. Every day for a year he asked if she had eight teeth yet. I love that he’s looking out for his little cousin.
