With just three weeks to go until the first football game, our training of Mallory has kicked into high gear. We’ve been getting “go boooo!” with a fist in the air pretty consistently and she will now say Go Blue if we say Michigan.
Next step was to teach her about how horrible The University of Ohio State is…and she will now say “boooooooo” when we say Ohio State.
But, then I remember we have to take the season one week at a time so we switched our focus to Utah. Just this morning we got her to say “boooooo oooo-teeeee” or something – I think oooo-teeeee was Mallorain for Utah; I’ll keep you posted.
We also can get her to say “ME!” when we ask her “who wants to go swimming? who loves their daddy? who needs a new diaper?” – and I suspected that she just answered “ME!” whenever we asked her a “who?” question.
BUT – my smart baby girl proved me wrong. I tested her and asked “who likes Ohio State?” and she responded “BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”.
She loves her Michigan Football counting book and when she gets to the last page and sees the aerial photo of the Big House, she raises her fist and says GO BOOOOO.
She has some work to do if she is going to top Cooper’s Hail to the Victors but I think we are making good progress.
