friends, Mallory

My mommy!

Funny Mallory & Alli story again today. I had to use the bathroom when I got to daycare today. As I’m going potty, both Mallory & Alli were pounding on the door yelling for me. I heard Alli yell “MOMMY”. And then I heard Mallory yell “NO!!!!! MY MOMMY!!”

Thank goodness I was already going potty, otherwise I would have peed my pants.

Continuing at daycare, as the girls were saying goodbye to each other, Alli said something to Mallory and Mallory lifted up her shirt and Alli stuck her finger in Mallory’s belly button. Then Mallory said the same thing back to Alli – something like “belly” – and Alli pulled up her shirt and Mallory stuck her finger in Alli’s belly button. Then there were a couple rounds of “ughs” and we finally got to leave daycare.

Picked up a new old playhouse for Mallory at a garage sale last weekend. She loves that thing – it is almost just like the one at daycare. Last night she was inside of it playing in the backyard and I heard her saying “hi gaga! hi gigi! hi bah-bah!”. I snuck out the backdoor so I could try to see what she was doing, and she was in the playhouse, talking on the play phone that hangs on the wall of the playhouse. Oh she makes me laugh so.

We know that Mallory has a hard time saying “D” – witnessed by her Gaga = Dada, and Gug = Doug. But once again she is switching it up – bug in Mallorian is “BUD”.

So she can say the D but not at the right time (just like how she says nilk [milk] and mose [nose]). I need to talk to my speech therapist friend and see what she thinks.

Mallory & I are heading north tomorrow with my mom – so the blog will be post-less until I return – unless Rick decides to contribute anything but I wouldn’t hold my breath. Cooper will be hanging with Bark-bark most of the weekend while Rick works so he’ll have fun with his buddy.

Have a great weekend everyone!
