The latest funny thing to come out of Mallory’s mouth is when she is doing something (brushing her teeth, playing with her sunglasses, etc), she tries to show Cooper what she’s doing and says “Buhbuh, ME!” as in “Hey Cooper, check out what I am doing!”. Cooper never pays any attention to her but it’s still funny to watch her try to show off for him.
And tonight after her bath, she went running into her room and heard Cooper coming up behind her. She stopped at the doorway of her room and held up both of her hands and yelled “NO BUHBUH!” to keep Cooper from coming into her room. Then she started telling him to sit and stay. I really can’t figure out where her bossiness comes from.

We made a run to Costco this afternoon – it was totally pouring rain out so she had her adorable pink strawberry raincoat & hat on. Every person we saw commented on how cute she looked; she even showed the door lady our Costco card. Then we got into the store and started looking at the phones and Mallory started having a meltdown and ended up face down in the aisle having a tantrum. She wanted me to carry her and I just can’t do it all the time anymore. I just stood back and let her cry for a while and apologized for her whenever people would walk by. One couple told me I just needed to have patience – I thought was doing a good job of keeping my cool but felt horrible for everyone who had to witness my Love & Logic Parenting practice. Mallory didn’t have a nap yesterday so I think we were still working out her lack of sleep.

I feel like I’m forgetting stories because it seems like at least five times each afternoon with Mallory, I think to myself “don’t forget to blog about that!” and when I finally sit down at night, I am empty. I guess I should start carrying around a little notepad to jot down my stories.

And here is a final long video from tonight. It started with Mallory still constantly asking where Nick go and finally learning “up north”. It is unedited but still pretty fun. Enjoy.
Notes for video:
- my dad calls Mallory “Mimi” and now that is what Mallory calls my dad. It pisses him off to no end. LOL.
- One of the teachers at Mallory’s school is Miss Eddie. Mallory calls her Eggie. Rick’s brother-in-law is Eddie so I thought I could get her to say Eggie but she finally actually said Eddie with a D. Not as cute as Eggie.
