Mallory

Could today have been any more exciting?

I had a bunch of stuff to write yesterday but didn’t get to it (Mallory saying “eeyo” for “here you go” for one example). And then today Michigan had to go have a game for the record books (biggest comeback for Michigan in Michigan Stadium) so I have a whole bunch of different stuff to write about.

Oh. My. Gosh.

First off, we got to go see Rick on the field before the game.

Then Mallory & Gaga went running for the endzone to make a touchdown (and of course find the M).

And then we found the biggest M in the stadium:

And you can’t see her “CHEEEEEEESE!” face very well in the above picture, so I have enlarged it for you here:

Then it was time for a pregame nap:

(This was a good story – she grabbed her bear & paci and then walked over to the chair I normally sit in at the tailgate and pointed to the seat and said “Mama, SIT”, so I sat and then she climbed up on my lap and put her head on my shoulder and fell asleep.)

Then the game was underway and by the second half, Mallory had her fingers crossed. Those of you who have sat next to me during a Michigan game have observed my freakish superstitious finger-crossing obsession; well, I haven’t been able to do it much this year because it’s hard to keep fingers crossed when opening a bottle of water or getting goldfish or holding Mallory, so I really don’t know where this comes from. She put her hand like this completely on her own ~ plus, I doubt that if I’d TRIED to put her fingers like this that she would have left them like this long enough for me to take a picture.

And the last of our “Our day in pictures” pictures:

One little non-football story: Mallory & my dad were running around the yard this morning before we left for the game. My dad tripped on the edge of the asphalt and wiped out on the grass. Apparently he had to maneuver to keep from landing on Mallory and landed shoulder-first.

The rest of the day Mallory was telling everyone “Mimi dell (fell) down”. It was so funny.

Ok, it’s late and my brain is toast. More some another day. We are going to see my pregnant with triplets friend Jen tomorrow (she’s 32+ weeks) – I can’t wait to see her!!
