Mallory

Remember this post?

Remember the “Can’t Wait…” post?

Well, it sort of happened last night.

Notice his Minnie Mouse ears, fun blue & yellow beads and fancy football bracelet. And you can’t ignore the “are you kidding me?” look on Rick’s face. He was sooo mad that I took his picture – LMAO!

Whenever my niece or nephew are around, Rick is always trying to get them to walk on his back (hey, whatever floats his boat).

But then he realized that Mallory is ready to start her back-walking:

Only problem is that there wasn’t any walking. She would get herself standing and balancing on his back and instead of walking up to his shoulders, she spread her legs and land on her bottom on his back. We’ll see how she does learning this trick.

We are still having some issues with Mallory’s sleep. Apparently the lack of a bumper on her toddler bed has allowed her pacifier to escape her reach in the night so she wakes up crying for her paci. But she is also waking up at like 5a which is too early for her. When I started downstairs today, Rick let me know that at 2a she just needed her paci so when I got to her room she was standing in the dark with her two bear blankies. I offered her a paci and she promptly dropped the paci on her bed, along with the blankies and was ready to go for the day. I was able to get her to lie down with Rick for about 30 minutes so even though she didn’t fall back asleep, I was able to shower and get ready for work in peace. She has been grumpier than she should be and I blame on the fact that she hasn’t gotten a good night’s sleep in a couple of weeks. Oh, and she had less-than-ideal naps over the weekend so I’m sure that doesn’t help.

Ok, that’s all I have for tonight. I need to get caught up on my recorded TV so I can get sleep too.
