Fun game Saturday. Wasn’t nearly as hot and Michigan won so that is way better than last week. Rick’s dad was in town for the game (and to see Mallory I think!) and it was wonderful how quickly Mallory warmed up to him, since she hasn’t seen him since January 1 and even then it was only for about an hour.
The tailgate started early again this week (8a for those of us who were on time, ahem) and Mallory ruled the tailgate like a pro again. She loves to sit in her Lil Wolverine tailgating chair with her sippy cup in the cupholder and munch on whatever snack she is inhaling at the time. She was sleepy before we even left for the stadium but refused to go to sleep until Miss Cheri took over and rocked her to sleep with some good lullabies while I took a potty break. Bryce finally told his mom “she’s asleep – you can quit singing now”. She ended up sleeping for about an hour.
Here are some of the pictures from the day. Do you not love her new reversible bucket hat from Lands End? You can’t tell really from the pictures but the rickrack is actually yellow – how perfect for football???
with Papa at the tailgate and eating all of Deetza’s kettle corn pre-game
“My pish, mommy” (eating goldfish & cheerios)
As we were reviewing these pictures, Mallory put her hands to her cheek and said “nigh-nigh” when she saw the picture of herself sleeping. And then the last one where she is covering her face, she said “where me go?”.

She is all about Ms lately – and EVERY.SINGLE.TIME she sees one, she will yell M! So she has TONS of opportunities at the football games to point out all the Ms. She will point at the one on her shirt and say “My M” and then to the M on my shirt “Mommy M!” and when she sees a bunch of Ms she says “More Ms!”. Seeing as how her name starts with M, I realize that this is an important letter for her to learn but we need to keep working on the rest of the alphabet :-)
