My little girl has been FUNNY the past couple of days.
First, here are some more of her new phrases:
- Me too!
- My turn
- Want some? – this is said as she walks through the house with a bowl and a spoon, pretending like she is whipping up something tasty, and then she offers it to us with a sweet “want dom, mommy? want dom daddy?” Tonight she took it up a notch and asked me if Cooper wanted some, so she fed some to Cooper. And then she turned to the TV and tried to feed the people on TV.
- Not a phrase but I need to get this documented – whenever she is on the phone with someone, and the conversation turns to something that Mallory can see in real life, she will try to show the person on the phone whatever the object is. For instance, if she is drinking water and Rick says over the phone, “Oh, you are drinking water?” she will hold her sippy cup up to the phone to show him. She does this with bug bites, boo-boos, books, her babydoll, what have you.

We went to the pumpkin patch yesterday and Mallory got to see some smelly farm animals and then grab a pumpkin from the already picked pumpkin pile (the pickings were slim in the actual pumpkin patch). Rick taught her how to pull grass and then feed it to the horse, who had some rocking ponytails going himself.
Here are all the pictures from the pumpkin patch:

I guess we had a storm come through our neck of the woods this morning because when I came home from work, I found a tree crashed through our neighbor’s fence – it almost completely filled his backyard and luckily it didn’t touch his house or shed (of course Rick said he wishes it had fallen on our house because then we’d get money to do the addition). My neighbor is gone so I thought I’d send him pictures of the tree so he can take care of it (or tell us what to do to take care of it! This is the neighbor who helps us with Cooper in the summertime so we don’t mind being his winter-time caretakers).
I came inside to get the camera and Mallory was whining some word that I couldn’t recognize. Turns out she wanted her camera (which is really my old digital camera) because when we pulled in the driveway I told her we had to go get the camera and take pictures of the tree in Mr John’s yard.
First is a video of her trying to say camera:
And here are pictures of her taking pictures of the wreckage:
And here is a video of her talking to Cooper. She is telling him “no ate it, Buhbuh” which translates to “quit eating the grass, Cooper” and is also telling Cooper to come.
After we took our pictures in the yard, we decided we should do a little dance. In honor of our photojournalisticing, I put on Freeze Frame and we boogied. This is near the end of the song and Mallory had just gotten her baby to dance with her. As you can see, she is still using the dark TV screen as her mirror.

And finally – we had Killer Shrimp for dinner and Mallory kept calling it “pimp”. I kept trying to get her to say SSSSHHHHH-rimp. But instead she’d say “ssssssshhhhhhhhhh PIMP!”.
Her BFF Alli turns TWO tomorrow. Unbelievable. Mallory is right behind her, with her birthday coming up in a little over three weeks.
