So the cuteness of the week comes in the form of an almost-2-year-old, blond, curly haired, sweet little cutie named Mallory.
I was sitting in the chair at Rick’s work yesterday, and Mallory came over and lifted up my shirt, and pulled down the big over-the-belly panel of my maternity pants to reveal my growing tummy.
She said “Hi baby Arlo!” and proceeded to place her cheek on my belly. Then she stood back and then leaned in and gave my belly button a kiss.
After that, she pulled up my elastic waist, and pulled down my shirt, only to repeat the process a few more times. Sometimes she would tilt her head and talk to my tummy for a quick second, other times she would give my belly a little hug (which is different from how she gives me a hug) but would always give a kiss on my belly button for baby Arlo.
She alternates between baby brudder and baby thither when we ask her if she’d prefer a brother or a sister. So it sounds as though come March/April, she won’t be dissappointed with the outcome, at least not yet.
