That is my excuse for my hiatus from blogging. I finally got a month’s worth of laundry put away. It had to be done.
Well, the good news is that just because I haven’t been blogging doesn’t mean that Mallory isn’t doing anything funny. And JUST as I typed this she did something REALLY funny and those pictures are downloading…stay tuned.
We have these big floor pillows that we prefer to keep stacked up in a corner. I don’t think Rick and I have ever used them for anything but they are from back in my olden days and I have memories of them from forever ago so when my mom offered them to me, I took her up on them. But Mallory uses them every day. She unstacks them and then jumps and lands on each of them. We practice her colors even though she thinks they are all blue. And she must be standing on one to be a receiver if you want to play catch with the football.
The floor pillows found a new use this week – pillows for all of Mallory’s stuffed animals. This is what my living room looked like when she got done:

We are still sort of having sleep problems – Mallory is waking up around 5.20a every single morning. She finds her way upstairs and walks past Rick sleeping to open the bathroom door and say “HI MOMMA!” while I’m in the shower. It is pretty cute and I love seeing her in the morning but it makes Rick wake up about 30-45 minutes earlier than he wants to, and I feel a little bad about that. But at least she is sleeping all the way through the night now. Her cough is almost gone and we are having a little better poop movement so things are good. We are going to the football game tomorrow – should be a little chilly but sunny. Mallory isn’t a fan of coats right now so we may have some battles tomorrow.

In closing, here are the pictures from today.
I should explain that I was sitting on the couch being a lazy mom and heard her jabbering away in the kitchen. I thought she was talking to her baby in the highchair and asking the baby if she wanted to read a book. I finally got off my tush and saw this:
In case the photos aren’t clear, she has her hands in the silverware drawer in the first picture, and is delivering every single one of her forks & spoons to the baby’s highchair tray. I’m thinking we need to move all the knives that are in that drawer, right next to her forks and spoons.
