That is Mallory’s new thing. It’s not just one “no”, and it’s not “no mommy” anymore. Now it’s a calm “no no no” – when I try to sneak a barrette into her crazy hair, or if I tell her it’s time to leave daycare. It’s pretty funny.
Here is Mallory taking a bath in our bathtub the other morning. I couldn’t fill it up too high because Rick was in the shower and I didn’t want to steal all his hot water. She was cracking me up how she was lounging there – and the face she is making is also a new thing. I know for sure that she got his from me, because when I hear Rick get home, I’ll make a face like “Oh my GOSH! Who is here!?!?!??” and she has totally started to imitate me. Also pretty funny.

Today was the fall festival at Mallory’s school. They had pumpkins to paint, tattoos to get and the best part is that the toddlers got to play on the preschool playground! Mallory & Alli had a BLAST playing on the big kid slides. Here are a few pictures from the festival:

Another funny – you can now ask her what a pig says and she’ll say “Oink”. But if you ask her what three singing pigs say (ala “Moo, Bah, Lalala”), she’ll say “La la la!”

Finally, here are Mallory’s 2008-09 school pictures! I am not super-impressed with how they turned out but of course I still spent way too much money on them. Here is her picture from last year.

Looking back on last year’s picture and browsing the blog from October 2007, I realized that it was a year ago that we ended up in the emergency room with Mallory’s transient synovitis or whatever it ended up being. I remember that weekend often, every time Mallory gets a cold that lasts more than a day and any time she seems like she isn’t staying hydrated but the exact anniversary of it escaped me until just now.
