Wow – sorry about my absence. I just realized I hadn’t posted since SUNDAY and I know all eight of my readers are going through Mallory & Arlo withdrawal!
First of all, congrats to my dad – he passed a big test yesterday (something about green building and saving the planet for Mallory’s future). He’s been studying his a$$ off for weeks and hadn’t passed any of the practice tests he took and was really worried about the test yesterday. You need 170 right answers pass, and he got 179 right! He really IS an engineer! GO DAD!!!

Along the lines of Mallory being the granddaughter of an engineer, she is OBSESSED with the cranes in our little downtown that are working to replace the bridge. Every day for weeks: “CANE! ONE TWO CANES!!!”. Then there was only one crane and she was sad and now it looks like that last crane is almost done. She loves checking out the big trucks and I should really know the names of all the of the equipment they are using in the construction of the bridge, but I don’t. Oh well.

Mallory came home from school Tuesday in pull-ups with Cars (from the movie Cars) on them. I asked if she had on boy diapers and she answered “WILEY (Riley)”, who is a little boy at school. This is the same little boy who Mallory was holding hands with walking around the toddler room. But the teachers continued on that since it was Mallory holding hands with him, it was more like she was holding his hand, dragging him around the toddler room. Outstanding.

Here are some random pictures from this week:
This is what happens when Mallory tries to get herself dressed (that is the neck of a shirt around her waist):
This is how she falls asleep some nights – just falls over after reading her pile of books.
And this was her Medusa hair first thing this morning:

LOL – she just sneezed and I didn’t say “bless you” – she said: “Bless Me”.

We are in Cincinnati for Thanksgiving; got to have world-famous Montgomery Inn Ribs last night – Mallory wasn’t a big fan. Today is a big family visiting day and then we head home tomorrow.
Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!!
