Funny Mallory-isms

Again, another quick post. I am disappointed that these aren’t more journaly but oh well. Here goes:

Coming home from school today, Mallory saw a house lit up with Christmas lights. From the back seat of the car she yelled, “LOOK – IT’S PRETTY!!!!”

Also on our way home from school – I asked Mallory what she thought Cooper was doing right then. Her response? “Eating my gocks (socks)”.

Cooper has a bad habit of running past us to get down the stairs and I’m afraid that one of these days he is going to knock Mallory over. He almost did it again tonight and I got soooo mad at him and told him he had to be careful to not knock us over. I made him sit at the top of the stairs and stay. Mallory started down the stairs, occasionally turning around to tell Cooper to “STAY. No push me, buhbuh!”.

She has retired “Gaga” from her vocabulary – it is almost exclusively “Daddy” now. It is so sad that she isn’t saying Gaga anymore, I thought it was so cute.

Tonight at dinner Rick even made a comment asking how she learns all these sentences (this was after her telling us that my Arlo was going to sit next to her and her Arlo would sit next to me at the dinner table). Rick seems to have a little trouble understanding her but hopefully that will improve now that he is able to spend more time with her. But the language development is so fun to hear.

In Arlo news – I am getting my first unsolicited “congratulations” from people who didn’t know I was pregnant. Two people I sort of know through work saw me in the halls (both times I had my winter coat on & zipped up) and gave me a congrats. I didn’t think I was THAT obviously pregnant, especially with a winter coat on – maybe I just ate too much Thanksgiving turkey or something. But perhaps my waddle gave it all away.

In Rick news – he is now obsessed with the show “The Office”. He got all the old seasons on DVD and is on an Office watching binge. The show is pretty funny, I’m surprised we’ve never watched it before!
