Yeah! We got our tree up today!! Rick brought it in the house this evening and Mallory helped him screw the base on the tree:
She sang some sort of “turn it round” song during this exercise.
Then Rick asked Mallory where the tree should go. She told us “outdide”. But after Rick suggested maybe in the living room, by the TV, this is where she thought it should go:
Mallory wanted to help put the star “on top” of the tree so she grabbed her little stool (also her potty) to assist in reaching the top of the tree.
But it took some “peas up” from Daddy to reach the top of the tree:
Finally it was time to actually put up some decorations:
I didn’t get a picture of the tree all decorated up but will tomorrow. I realize our tree isn’t as colorful and bright as other people’s trees, but we like the simple life (and our K.mart ornaments that can be tapped on by a two year old little girl and run into by a 3.5 yr old crazy dog without us freaking out about something breaking!).
