Baby Arlo, stb

Post title TBD

Well, so far this week the only exciting things that happened are that we got a DVR in our bedroom (I’m thinking forward to when I’ll be in bed a lot with the new baby next spring, resting, while Rick takes care of Mallory!) and a new DVR in our living room (the old one conked out…I lost about 10 episodes of Little People, Big World…dammit Jim). But the most exciting thing is that I got to out to dinner with some friends last night – without my family! Not that I didn’t miss them terribly during the inhalation of my all-you-can-eat crab legs, but it was SO SO SO nice to have dinner out and not have to say “use your fork…on your bottom…careful with that cup…only color on the paper” over & over. I only had two plates of crab legs – probably didn’t get my money’s worth – because about halfway through the second plate I remembered that I think I am supposed to limit my seafood since I’m pregnant.

I guess the theme of the week is to pamper me, because I followed last night up with a massage today. It didn’t fix my pregnancy aches but it was still relaxing.

I’ve really been hurting with whatever it is that is causing my tailbone area to hurt like a sonofabitch. I’ve had this pain occasionally since about 12 weeks (same with last pregnancy) but just this past week it’s gotten WAY worse. I can just be sitting in my chair at work and BOOM – shooting pain up my back. And I have to be careful walking because there are some movements which cause the pain and make me almost lose my balance. I was practically in tears all day yesterday because I was so uncomfortable. Add in the fact that I walk all tensed up because I am bracing myself for the pain, and my back is a wreck too. I emailed my doctor (you know, my fave doctor, Dr B) and I am to go to the PT/OT clinic to get this figured out. Stay tuned.

I couldn’t think of a good post title. Here were my options:

1) Aches & pains & crabs, oh my!

2) All about me

3) Mom’s night out

Thoughts?

  1. just a thought – i had what they called a “pubic separation” with alexis – it got so bad by the end that i was on bedrest etc – it sounds a lot like the pain that you are describing….either way i hope you can get it figured out!!!
