We tried to take Mallory tubing today. First she went with dad and cried for me the whole time. So I took one for the team and got in the tube with her and she still cried and moaned almost the whole time on our little mini-lap of the lake.
Maybe next year.

Pretty Toes
One of Mallory’s favorite playspots is in the bottom drawer of the bathroom. It is where all of my nail polish is. In the morning on the weekends when we bring her upstairs to try to get her to go back to sleep with us, she instead will crawl off the bed and head to our bathroom and come back with her arms full of nail polish bottles and will lay them out on my bed. Then she will point out which color is for her and which is for me. She was due for a pedicure yesterday so I …
Still Cautious…
Betas are increasing; haven’t taken a test since last Thursday; anxiously awaiting our first ultrasound on August 1. It’s hard to get too excited yet even though we’ve made it past the time of our two previous losses.
EDD is 3/27. Still praying that this one sticks. It’s my last chance to have a baby before I turn 39.
I got yelled at by my husband :-(
The past few nights Mallory has had some sleeping problems. I don’t know if it was because her schedule was so wacky from our weekend trip or it could be that her second molars are starting to come in, but she will go down for bed fine but about an hour later she is up SCREAMING for me. I am not so good at getting her to lie back down (or is it lay?); Rick can usually go in and tell her to go back to sleep and she will. But I can’t stand seeing her face all blotchy and …

Mom-1, Yaya – Infinity
I am home sick again today (what is it with me and summer colds??). Anyway, this morning, Rick brought Mallory up to say goodbye to me and she was so sad. Usually when we say “go to school” she starts freaking out about getting to see YAYA and is in a big rush to get out the door!!
But not today. I was lying in bed among my piles of snotty Kleenexes and Mallory wouldn’t give me a hug or a kiss goodbye. She just kept saying “NOooooooooo Gaga” when he’d try to pick her up to leave. I *almost* thought …

I'm so proud of my husband
My husband isn’t very good at reading my mind and he isn’t so great at giving me foot rubs but I was SO proud of him yesterday when he finished his triathlon. I had tears in my eyes as he crossed the line and I started running down to see him, completely forgetting to keep an eye on Mallory.

The race was supposed to start at 7.15a but was delayed an hour because of fog on Lake Michigan. Mallory & I slept …
NO!!!
Mallory has been saying NO to us for a while, usually in response to “want to go to bed?” or “let’s change your diaper”. It’s never been a problem before when she’s said it because we can usually get her to what we need her to.
Well, being in a one room hotel room with a baby who NEEDS to sleep and WON’T is KILLING me.
She’s been in her pack & play for about 30 minutes, and she is still talking to me, while I’m sitting in the dark typing away and Rick is off wandering around the hotel. She is …
