My little girl has been FUNNY the past couple of days.

Want some? – this is said as she walks through the house with a bowl and a spoon, pretending like she is whipping up something tasty, and then she offers it to us with a sweet “want dom, mommy? want dom daddy?” Tonight she took it up a notch and asked me if Cooper wanted some, so she fed some to Cooper. And then she turned to the TV and tried to feed the people on TV.

Here are the 16+ week belly pictures. In my 12w pictures I was wearing a non-maternity top, so that is why my belly is showing. But now I am exclusively in maternity clothes, with the exception of my baggy t-shirts & sweats. The bump is growing!

Mommy makes rules, Daddy breaks them

Mallory likes to do little arts & craft projects with me and seeing as how I am about a year behind on my scrapbooking, I am encouraging her craftiness and give her all sorts of paper and old stickers to try to keep her occupied. One of my rules is “only on paper” with the crayons and stickers. She does pretty well with this rule for the most part but then dad was around and the rule went out the window. Look what he taught her to do with her stickers:

That is Mallory’s new thing. It’s not just one “no”, and it’s not “no mommy” anymore. Now it’s a calm “no no no” – when I try to sneak a barrette into her crazy hair, or if I tell her it’s time to leave daycare. It’s pretty funny.

I have added a new page at the top (Boy or Girl?) for everyone to be able to follow along with my “symptoms”, so I can have some people to co-obsess with me over whether I am having a boy or a girl. I know that this obsession could be easily solved by just finding out right now what we are having but it’s way more fun to annoy my mom & my mother-in-law (and Deetza and Triplet-Jen and many more) by not finding out! Oh how I love that girl

Last night at about 10.30p I heard a ruckus downstairs. Being the tired mom that I am I figured that if someone was breaking in, the dog would bark. And if it was Mallory, I would soon hear “hi momma!”. So I decided that I would stay in bed until it was clearer what I would find if I actually got out of bed to investigate.

Weekend Review (10/05/08)

Here is our weekend:
We had swim class on Friday night, which is really open swim while a pimple-faced kid gets paid to take attendance. Of course this annoys the ever-living-crap out of me, almost to the point that I will let Rick take Mallory by himself and I’ll stay home and pretend that the teacher is actually teaching. I should be happy that he & Mallory get 30 minutes of playtime and enjoy the laughter and giggles that I hear from the pool and it’s not as though she is really going to learn how to swim since she is …

That is my excuse for my hiatus from blogging. I finally got a month’s worth of laundry put away. It had to be done.
Well, the good news is that just because I haven’t been blogging doesn’t mean that Mallory isn’t doing anything funny. And JUST as I typed this she did something REALLY funny and those pictures are downloading…stay tuned.
We have these big floor pillows that we prefer to keep stacked up in a corner. I don’t think Rick and I have ever used them for anything but they are from back in my olden days and I have memories …
