And here she is saying her version of “cartoons” and “no way jose”:
Just need to get some things down:
*Mallory has had some funny mispronunciations lately. Florida is “Flor-did-da” and blankie is “bank-lie”.
*Mallory was so happy to see Alli this week after being gone all last week. Alli’s mom reported that Monday morning, when Mallory saw Alli for the first time, she came running up to A and said “I MISSED YOU!”.
*Today when we left daycare, Alli wanted a hug from Mallory. And then she said “MORE HUG!” and wanted another hug from M. And then she said “MORE HUG!” again and wanted another hug from M. And again. And again. And again.
*Mallory …
I had a doctor’s appointment Monday, not with my favorite Dr B, but with one of the doctors in her former group. The medical assistant who took my blood pressure, etc, asked how I was doing and I told her about Dr B’s concerns about my “uterine activity”; the MA asked if I wanted to be checked (for dilation) and I told her that if this doctor thought it was necessary, then that would be fine. Well, in walked the unfriendly doctor – she saw I was undressed from the waist down, and barely asked questions, and then she checked …
Got this email this morning from our dogsitter. Bryce is her 7-yr-old son, and Bark(ley) is their 2-yr-old lab.
So last nite Bryce and Cooper assumed their position on the couch in the basement and fell asleep. I fell asleep on the couch in the family room watchin a movie. At 3 am, Bryce and Coop get up walk by me and go upstairs. Bryce doesn’t see me so he calls LM on his cell then me on mine. Hears my cell ringing and he and Coops and Bark come join me on the couch. After …
Well, we’re heading back north tomorrow. The weather is just starting to warm up here (I actually put my toes in the pool today) and from what we can read, the temps are dropping big time back home. Outstanding!
Today was my only full day with no classes or anything. Mallory decided to start the day off with a great big bang and went PEE-PEE on the POTTY! Her night-time diapers have been almost dry the past couple of nights; this is a big deal because we buy the super absorbent Huggies overnights and 99.9% of the time they weigh 10 …
Since both Rick & I were home with nothing to do but watch football on January 1, we thought we’d try to start really potty training Mallory.
After breakfast, I put her in training underpants and a vinyl diaper cover. I told her to let us know when she had to go potty. We decided that we’d put her on the toilet every 30 minutes regardless of whether she told us she had to go or not. 20 minutes in, I hear her in distress and find her in the kitchen with pee running down her leg (WTH are those …
Only a few more days left of our trip. Today is the last day of classes for me, I have all day tomorrow off and then we head home on Saturday.
I had the entire afternoon of yesterday, and got myself a fancy pedicure to start the afternoon off. As I was paying for the pedicure, I noticed that the spa offers a prenatal massage…wonder if I can talk Rick into letting me get one of those tomorrow?
It was a little chilly here yesterday and after a failed attempt to get Mallory to take a nap, we headed to …
I just realized that I haven’t given a Baby Arlo update in a few weeks.
Last week I was having some weird pains. Last Sunday morning (1/11) I woke up with two very painful contractions/cramps, like I had to ball up and not breathe for about 10-15 seconds. I had another one on Monday morning. Later in the week I was having some different kind of pains and after checking with Dr Google on the internets, determined I was having Braxton-Hicks contractions.
I talked to my doctor last Thursday (1/15) and she said not to classify them as Braxton-Hicks or …
Ok, I’ve already posted this before but I know there are some blog readers out there who haven’t voted yet.
So check out the ExpectNet.com link to the right and cast your vote for Baby Arlo’s stats :-)
Mallory always wants to help me when I go to the bathroom (a whole post will be coming on our adventures in potty training and potty fweats) but today was too much.
As I was getting ready to wipe after I “push the pee out”, Mallory said “I wipe your tushy”.
Um, no thanks.
