Mallory

A Happier Post

With the technical difficulties we have been experiencing, combined with my OCD at not being able to just let the computer catastrophes go and deal with them the next day – I’ve been going to bed later than normal and that has led to decreased creativity.

But, we are back in business, albeit without the external hard drive, and I am here to share some fun Mallory stuff. It will be in list order because I have a lot to share.

  • Walking through Target the other day, Mallory found the travel size packet of Kleenex in my purse. She proceeded to fake sneeze and wipe her nose and use up every single piece of kleenex. I forgot about it until the next day when I found ten kleenexes wadded up in my purse.
  • I was getting dressed for work the other morning and as I pulled up my underpants, Mallory looked at me and said “You a naked baby?”. At least she didn’t make me do the dance!
  • Mallory went pee-pee on the potty TWICE at daycare on Tuesday (February 10)!!!
  • I asked Mallory if Cooper goes pee-pee on the potty. She told me no, that he goes OUT-SIDE but that he still gets potty fweats for going pee-pee.
  • On our way home from daycare on Thursday, Mallory told me “No go home. I go to Flor-did-da and see Nina at work.” (when we were there a few weeks ago, Rick & Mallory stopped by Nina’s work so her co-workers could meet Mallory).
  • Mallory is usually in charge of feeding Cooper. Normally I get him settled down while she fills up the cup of food and puts it in his bowl, but this past week, I was busy (probably with the computer) and I heard her yell from the closet “I tell you SIT, TOOPAH!! I tell you SIT DOWN!!!!”. I turned the corner and saw Cooper’s rear end sticking out of the closet where Mallory was trying to fill up the cup with his food.
  • Got home from school one day this past week, and Mallory always hurries to be the one to let Cooper out of his cage. As she was bending down to open the door to the cage, she asked Coops: “You excited see me, Toopah?”
  • She went on the potty at home Friday afternoon and wanted to wear underpants after that. I am trying to explain that once she goes on the potty all the time, she can wear cute big girl underpants. Her cooperation with our potty training efforts is sporadic but we keep trying.
  • Rick and I went on an early Valentine’s date on Friday night and Mallory went to Gigi’s. The Blue Jackets were playing the Red Wings that night so the game was on tv and Gigi & Mallory were watching the game when we got there to pick M up. I asked Mallory who was playing and she told me the Red Wings. I asked her if she was rooting for the Red Wings or the Blue Jackets and she told me “Wed Wings”. I made a pouty face and said “What? Are you sure you aren’t rooting for the Blue Jackets?”. She got a bratty grin and said “no, not Blue Jackets, Wed Wings!!!” and then she said “Boo, Blue Jackets”. And then she giggled because she knew she was being bratty.

Well, that’s all I’ve got for tonight. Sorry it’s not more exciting but at least it’s something. Another post with a cute video is coming, as is one with a few pictures.
