I swear. For as much as I love my computer(s) and blogging and all things electronic, right now I feel like I want to go live on a beach with nothing but a pad of paper and a glass bottle to send messages to people by sea. But with my luck, my glass bottle would have a crack in it and my pen would stop working.
So anyway. Rebuilt the laptop last week – something started happening and we couldn’t get our data off so I thought to try upgrading to Vista and was able to get our data off. …

Our little ski bunny!!
Our family traveled north to spend a short weekend with friends at their fabulous house outside of Harbor Springs. The plan was that Rick would ski all weekend, and Mallory & I would relax at the house, taking long naps and reading tons of books.
We got up north late afternoon on Friday and Rick & his buddies immediately hit the slopes for some night skiing. Mallory & I hung back with Sue and her two youngest – and all three kids had a great time playing and got along great and the girls were sharing their fancy shoes, it was …
(Insert your title idea here…I am not feeling original or creative)
Mallory seems to be on the mend. Her grunting and coughing has mostly turned into VERY productive sneezes (we’re going through a LOT of kleenex!). She only woke a few times in the night and is probably spoiled by the automatic pacifier re-insertion that happens when she sleeps in our bed. LOL. She HATES HATES HATES the antibiotics she is on but is easily bribed with a cookie.
But here is our sleeping baby last night, passed out in our bed:
And, as promised – here is my 32w belly picture (I cannot show you my full picture – I looked …
Baby Arlo update – 32w
We hit the 32 week mark last Friday…I have a follow-up appointment tomorrow to check to make sure things aren’t progressing past the one centimeter dilation I had last week. I have been feeling really good the past week to here’s to hoping all is well.
The baby continues to punch & kick the crap out of my uterus and it’s getting really annoying. Rick finally got to see an elbow or knee or something jut out and run across (or is it under?) my belly and that really grossed him out. I always tell him that since I have to …
Wordless Wednesday
I’ve seen other bloggers do a “Wordless Wednesday” post, where they just post photos. So, let’s pretend that’s what this is and just ignore my word-full intro ;-)
Playing hockey with Rick on the lake.
A pretty ballerina…ready for winter
No idea what to write for this one.
Found some time
I finally found some time to blog, but unfortunately it’s in the form of a sick coughing baby who needed to go to the doctor and stay home from school. Mallory had a croupy cough starting Sunday night, and Monday night it was a little worse…but last night was the worst. She was whiny & miserable from the minute I picked her up from daycare, and proceeded to curl up on the couch for a 30-minute rest when we got home. The only times she wasn’t whining were when she was eating or taking a bath. And when I tried …
I feel pretty
Mallory’s best friend’s mom just called with this report:
When she dropped her daughter off at daycare this morning, she saw Mallory and said “Hi baby girl! How are you?”
Mallory’s response: “I pretty!”
Uh oh.

Things are hectic at home and our laptop needs another rebuild. So I have pictures & stories to share but need to focus on the computer first before I can post that stuff. I might bring my work laptop home tonight and blog while I hopefully get the home computer to copy my data to CDs (since it won’t recognize the external hard drive and won’t …
