Just real quick – had my weekly appointment today and non-stress test. Baby Arlo looked fabulous on the monitor, nice heart accelerations, etc. I am nervous that EVERY.SINGLE.PERSON who has observed this baby on an ultrasound or monitor has commented on how active the baby is.
Anyway, the nurse was reading over the little printout thing that the monitor spits out and said something like “…I see some contractions…”. I was like “WHAT THE $%&#??” I haven’t felt much of anything contractions-wise ever since I quadrupled my water intake after my trip to triage back in January. Plus, I’ve resigned myself to being a week late again. So this little hint of things progressing already threw me off a little.
Then Dr B came in and said all looked great, yada yada, see you in another week, call if you start losing your plug or having contractions, etc. Again, I was like “WHAT THE $%&#??” I told her Mallory was a week late and I was expecting the same to happen this time, that I don’t remotely feel like I’m the kind of girl who will give birth early. She said that we’d see about that.
I did find out where some body parts are in my belly so that is fun. Arlo’s little tushy is on the right side, and hands and feet are on the left, and s/he is still head down. I wasn’t sure if the head was still down since the past few days have felt like the baby was tap-dancing on my bladder. Seriously – no exaggeration. And that isn’t a great feeling to have. It hurts and is uncomfortable all at once.
Anywho – off to bed for me.
Only 4+ more weeks.
