Mallory

Mischief, Girl-Style

Here is an example of why I am glad to have a girl.

Mallory was quiet for about 15 minutes all by herself in the bathroom with the door shut. I could hear her talking to herself and there was no crashing or anything so I just let her be.

When I finally checked on her, she was standing on her stool inside the linen closet. I got nervous because there are some things she shouldn’t get into within her reach if she is using a stool (note to irresponsible parent: get moving on the toddler-proofing). Once I squeezed my belly through the door, I saw what she was up to.

She had found the stash of barrettes on the shelf and had removed ALL of them from the cardboard backings.

It took her four trips to transport them all to the hair accessories bowl we use in her room.

Let’s say that I like the girl-style of mischief compared to the boy-style…especially when I see my co-worker bring in pieces of furniture to have our wood-working boss recreate because his 3-yr old son is so naughty.

  1. That’s it, you’re going to have a boy now FOR SURE! I can’t wait for the barrettes…I bought Brooke’s first ones this week :-) Hope to see you guys soon!
