I was chatting with a friend today about Carson and his gassiness and she was telling me about her son cried a lot when he was an infant because he had a lot of gas. I replied that Carson seems to cry a lot too – but she didn’t believe me since I hadn’t blogged about it. So Kim – here you go (I advise you to turn down your speakers):
All during this crying spell, he was kicking his legs trying to work out the gas. Poor kid!
I’ll add that Kim said she cut chocolate out of her diet for about four months and that seemed to reduce her son’s gassiness. So, starting today, I’m going to go chocolate free for a week and see if that helps at all. Wish me luck.
Anyone want my almost brand-new bag of Oreo cookies in my pantry? I’d give them to my nephew but the Oreo-holic graduated from Oreos and doesn’t like them anymore.
This sure does bring back memories. All three of mine had gas but my son the most… must be a ‘Guy’ thing.
He’s 23 and is still gasy but I don’t have to endure since he is in GA. Your day will come, be patient…
:-}
I had to give up dairy, onion/garlic type stuff, brocolli, cabbages and any other “gassy” veggies when ours was small…it helped!
Whether you think he may have colic or not, one of mine did and one of mine didn’t, Hyland’s Colic Tablets were wonderful. Homeopathic natural gas relievers. I usually ate what I wanted but gave the babies these. They dissolve in their mouths. Made with chamomile and stuff. Collin gave some to Shelly who works in Crisler when she had her baby and she couldn’t get over the difference! Good luck!
