I think this past weekend was the first time since early February that Rick didn’t have to go into work at all – and we took full advantage of it. We had invitations to stuff for both Friday & Saturday nights but we waived them both off in favor of hanging around the house.
That was a good decision for us on Friday night…seeing as how Mallory ended up in full meltdown mode at about 6p. We planned to have dinner on the boat and wanted Mallory to go potty before we headed out. She is a pretty regular evening …

More Mallory
Check out this picture Rick sent me yesterday (he was home with the kids because the power was out at daycare due to the storms). The subject of the email was “she’s pumping…”
It’s hard to see, but she has two plastic bottles held up to her chest. I asked her about it this morning and she told me a long story of the nilk (milk) going down into a box and then daddy took the top off and then she did dis (as she moved back & forth) and then she told me she fed her brother.
Hmmm….

Digital
Seeing as how addicted I am to Photoshop these days, I really need to throw in the towel on old-fashioned scrapbooking and just start doing it all digitally. I mean, I already sort of do that by keeping this blog, right?
But I just found these new storyboard templates for Photoshop so now you will be inundated with these too.
Carson @ 12weeks
I mentioned back in April that Rick is trying to work on some project with all of my belly shots and then pictures of me holding Carson as he gets bigger.
Seeing as how Rick has been busy with work and stuff lately, we haven’t been getting the pictures as regularly as he would have liked but we took one last night.
So here is Carson at one week, and then at 12 weeks. I think I was holding him a little higher in the second picture but still – he is such a big boy now!

My Little Lands End Model
I think Mallory could be a model for this Lands End Kids bathing suit – how cute is she?
And here are some pictures that show off our new paver patio…the first is Mallory trying to comfort Carson (“it’s OK, Buddy”), and the second picture is the pumpkinhead’s tiny footprint!
It’s been like a million degrees here this week so I got Mallory a new little plastic pool today. It is perfect for our new patio area ~ Mallory & I hung out today with our toes in the water and ate cherries while Carson snoozed inside.
I had a bunch of …
More from the "watch what you say or it will get thrown back at you by a 2-yr old" files…
Leaving the house yesterday morning, I had the door propped open waiting for Mallory to put her shoes on so she could follow me out to the car.
She looked up at me and said “Shut the door so no bugs come in, MOM.”
Think she’s heard me say that about a bajillion times lately?
Father’s Day Weekend
We had Alli & her folks out to play on Saturday night – mostly it was to let the girls go crazy and let off some steam. I am happy to report that with our new paver patio (pictures are coming, I promise!), the bugs don’t seem to be as bad, at least on the patio part. We still have the candles and the zapper going, and even with bugspray on, Mallory still gets a couple of bites every time we go outside. I don’t want to scare her with my “you’re going to get bug bites!” warnings to the …
Quintessential Mallory
There was a little girl, Who had a little curl, Right in the middle of her forehead.
When she was good, She was very good indeed, But when she was bad she was horrid.
–Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Oh Mallory.
She is sooooo good most of the time. For the most part she knows what is off limits and is still pretty good almost all of the time but we have our moments when neither of us are at our best and then look out.
Like tonight …
Happy Fathers Day, Grandpa!
I think my dad is a pretty lucky grandpa to have such a good-looking bunch of grandkids, don’t you?
Happy Mini-Friday
The weeks are flying by. How is it already June 18?
I started a new job at work. Rather, I still have my old job responsibilities but I was given a whole another person’s job responsibilities. Time will tell if this results in a nice raise for me. Don’t hold your breath. I’m not. I am in charge of all the ordering of materials for all of the projects at the hospital, as well as receiving the material and processing invoices. So the new job has me interacting with the tradespeople all day every day and that, combined with my three …
