My baby boy is almost four months old. I can’t believe how fast time is going and I also can’t believe that I am wishing him to get bigger (and easier to entertain). He is such a happy little kid almost all of the time and I need to slow down and enjoy this time where he lets me hold him. You hear so many times that boys are soooo different from girls – and since Mallory wasn’t/isn’t a super-cuddly baby/toddler, I’m afraid that this boy of mine will be even less cuddle and I’ll really regret …
Month: July 2009
RB and SCT
Yesterday was our four-year anniversary. I have a post started up of my life and how we met, etc but this week hasn’t been the most calm so I don’t have it done yet.
But in honor of our anniversary, Rick is off playing hockey and left me at home with two not happy kids. I had to hold Carson until he fell asleep. And Mallory was screaming bloody murder for like an HOUR – she started to yell that she had to go potty so I decided I’d free her from her room but all she proceeded to do was …
I’m still here
You’d think by the lack of posts that I would be out of commission internet-wise but really I just have had those other projects taking up my time.
* * *
Please be assured that in my blogging absence my darling daughter continues to be completely hysterical and my sweet baby boy is slowly becoming a better sleeper (albeit with a SECOND TOOTH coming in!).
We are enjoying our last weeks of summer before football steals Rick away for four months. We’ve had lots of family time and just need the weather to cooperate so we can get some boat time in!
It all makes sense now…
My cousin just sent me this news story “Big spenders tend to marry big savers, researchers find“.
She wrote “Huh. Really.”
There is nothing funnier
There is nothing funnier than a 2.5 year old throwing your sayings back at you.
For instance – today Mallory told me “dat’s (that’s) right, sister” as a yes answer to something I asked her. And when I asked for clarification “Did you just say “that’s right, sister?”, she said “yes…dat’s hyterical (hysterical)”.
An hour later I asked what she wanted for lunch. She told me “I will have grilled cheese and you will have grilled cheese and I will have grilled cheese…sound good?”
Conversations with my kids
These first video is how dinnertimes go in our house. The second is Carson giggling!
What did you just did today?
So much to post, so little time. My friend Kim & I are starting a website with things to do around Ann Arbor with your kids. That should be at the top of my priority list but I have some other things to cross of my to-do list first (sorry Kim!).
Anyways, here we go.
We had a wonderful weekend in Wisconsin & Chicago. As I mentioned before, the ride west wasn’t so fun. Chicago traffic is THE WORST and Carson is not a big fan of the stop & go. He screamed bloody murder for most of the ride through Chicago. …
One Lonely Tooth
See it? Right in the middle of the bottom? I wonder how long it will take for that other bottom tooth to come in so his tooth isn’t so lonely. Mallory got all of her teeth in pairs so we’ll see what happens with Carson.
Catching Up
Way behind because I’ve been working on some other projects. One being photography :-) This week I was lucky to be able to take pictures of two friends and their families.
On Sunday I took pictures of my friend Lissa and her husband and their 2-yr old son. Lissa is 37-ish weeks pregnant with another boy and wanted to get some pictures of her family before they became four!
Last night I took family pictures for our friends Doug & Sue. Sue wanted some pictures of her kids and it grew into some family photos of everyone.
These are in addition to pictures …
We knew it!
Those doctors don’t know ANYTHING.
I wrote a few weeks ago that Rick & I thought Carson was teething – it seemed like he had some bulges where his bottom two teeth should be and he was drooling like C-R-A-Z-Y.
At his doctor’s appointment last week, I mentioned that we thought he might be teething but the doctor looked and said he wasn’t getting any teeth.
But I think this picture proves otherwise…just a short 9 days later – a TOOTH! This might also explain some of his sleep issues from the past couple of weeks. Interestingly I gave him Tylenol a couple …
