My baby boy is almost four months old. I can’t believe how fast time is going and I also can’t believe that I am wishing him to get bigger (and easier to entertain). He is such a happy little kid almost all of the time and I need to slow down and enjoy this time where he lets me hold him. You hear so many times that boys are soooo different from girls – and since Mallory wasn’t/isn’t a super-cuddly baby/toddler, I’m afraid that this boy of mine will be even less cuddle and I’ll really regret not taking the time to snuggle with him. I told Rick that it makes me sad that we spend our time trying to get him to be happy, only to put him in the swing or on the floor so we can get something done. We both promised to make an effort to spend more time with Carson when he is happy :-)
FYI – I know this isn’t the most flattering picture of me, but I needed to get something up here showing what I look like since there are so few pictures of me on this blog (and of Rick for that matter).
Anywho – Carson is now sporting TWO teeth. He weighed ~15-ish pounds at the doctor last week when we went in for the follow-up on his rash.
That’s news too – they think he might have a peanut allergy. It’s not conclusive yet, but there may be a correlation to him getting a rash after I eat peanut butter or straight peanuts. So we are seeing the allergist in a week to get that checked out. Please cross your fingers that all is well.
He is *thisclose* to rolling from his tummy to his back (he did back to tummy like 2+ months ago). He can get his hips up and almost over but then his arm and shoulder get in the way so he doesn’t finish.
He is very smiley and loves to laugh. It’s so funny how getting him to laugh & smile at you can be your day’s greatest accomplishment. It’s not hard to do but it is the best thing. I think he’s starting to reach for me when he sees me – it’s too cute.
Ok, he is waking from his nap so I must go. More another day.
