Way behind because I’ve been working on some other projects. One being photography :-) This week I was lucky to be able to take pictures of two friends and their families.
On Sunday I took pictures of my friend Lissa and her husband and their 2-yr old son. Lissa is 37-ish weeks pregnant with another boy and wanted to get some pictures of her family before they became four!
Last night I took family pictures for our friends Doug & Sue. Sue wanted some pictures of her kids and it grew into some family photos of everyone.
These are in addition to pictures I took of the Trainer kids last month…
Anyway – taking pictures is easy – it’s the sorting and editing and playing in photoshop that takes a lot of time :-)

So, I have some pictures to share (of my kids now!) and I’ll do this sort of boringly:
Mallory colored this paper (front & back…that’s why two pictures) and said it was for Alli – so we put it in an envelope and put a stamp on it and mailed to Allison. I guess when Alli opened it, she said “where’s the other foot?”
Here she is putting it in the mailbox:

I was inspired to let Mallory get crazy with the fingerpaints this week after seeing Kim’s pictures of Jake & Aly messing it up outside. She stripped down to her underpants, correction – her PRINCESS BIG GIRL UNDERPANTS and went to town. She didn’t get too messy but of course the dog walked through it and that made a mess. Rick took Mallory to the lake to get her rinsed off so I didn’t have to do it inside.

Mallory & I tried to get pedicures on Friday afternoon but the place was booked – they said we could come back in 45 minutes but we had packing and stuff to do so we walked out. But Mallory really wanted to get a pedicure and stood outside the salon, refusing to get in the car, while she cried “but I want to get a pedicure!!”. I wasn’t sure whether I should be amused or disturbed that my 2.5 year old had such strong opinions about getting her toes painted!
She also wants to include Carson in what she’s doing ALL.THE.TIME. If she is running, she said “Mom, tell Carson what I am doing” and I have to say “Carson, your sister is running”. This is am improvement over when she used to say “Tell Carson what his brother is doing”. It’s tough being two and learning all those new words.

Carson’s tooth is still coming in – it is 100% through the surface now and it is SHARP when he uses my finger for a teether.

I really need to get better about blogging more frequently because I know that I’m forgetting stuff that has been going on. We are in Racine Wisconsin right now for Rick’s triathlon. I just found his bike helmet in the bottom of his bin of race stuff – I really hope he has another one with him or else he’s not racing and that would make this whole trip a waste of gas :-(
We had a rough ride out yesterday. Carson isn’t a big fan of the car these days and it took us about an hour to get him to fall asleep. So he slept for a few hours but the last 1.5 hours of the trip were not fun – he was grumpy and Mallory was grumpy and they were both tired of their carseats.
So Rick should be ~45 minute into his bike ride right now. We are going to go head down to see him finish the bike portion and then we’ll go play on the playground for a while before heading back to the finish to see him cross the line. I am not looking forward to loading up the entire car all by myself with two kids underfoot…wish me lots of luck. Carson is sleeping and I’m blogging and thank GOD for my iPhone with games on it for Mallory. Right now she is making balloon animals. I would love to go get the car loaded up but I don’t think I should leave the baby in the room sleeping while I go move the car closer…
