My whole family, except Carson, slept in today so Carson & I had some fun playing time by the early light of day. Watch as he tries to copy what I’m doing.
I have decided that I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this age of almost 6 months. Carson is able to sit up, roll all over the place and semi-scoot his way around – which means he is able to entertain himself for a good amount of time. Yesterday at the tailgate, he hung out on the blanket alone for at least 15 minutes, just watching people walk by and playing with his toys. Everyone that walked by oohed & aahed over him, and if Mallory caught someone oohing & aahing over her brother and not her, she was quick to insert herself into their view so as to not miss out on any attention.
My sweet son is soon to be six months old. This means I soon have six months minus one day until I turn 40 (how’s that for advance notice of my big birthday coming up?).
Carson & his sister still get along famously. She is usually the first one to rush to him when he is fussing, with her signature move of “It’s OK, Carthon, I’m right here” along with a little pat on the head and a plug of the paci.

He is super cute! I think 6 months is a good age. Still adorable and very needing of Mommy and Daddy but learning so much and becoming their own little person.
