I hate when things like life and other responsibilities get in the way of my blogging. I miss writing here when I’m away too long ;-)
We had another birthday party for Mallory this past weekend – this one was for my family (my mom’s birthday is two days before Mallory’s so they get a joint celebration every year). Mallory got a cute outfit and a daily planner wall thingy from my mom, a new “hat doll” from my sister (a doll that is wearing a hat), and a cool dollhouse from my dad (I had sent my dad plans for a dollhouse, thinking he might enjoy actually making one for her birthday. But he thought it was more fun to just buy one).
It came with some furniture and tonight she set up the table & chairs on the window sill (in our living room, not a window sill in her dollhouse). And when I asked her about it she said “they are having a picnic!”. Like, duh.
And here are some other little “catching up” items.
Mallory FINALLY learned how to chew gum and not swallow it. She calls is “gum-gum” and will chew it for five minutes and then ask to spit it out. It’s pretty funny to watch her chomp on some gum. I need to keep her away from my mom and her gum-popping lessons…
If I think Mallory says something to me, I ask her “what did you just say?”. If she hasn’t said anything she’ll say “I didn’t say ANY-thing”. Like, duh.
Tonight she was working on her princess puzzle – she totally put her hand on her chin and said “hmmmmm” as she studied the pieces. Why and how is she growing up so fast?
I would love to freeze my kids right now. I would change diapers and keep nursing forever if it meant that Carson would stay the sweet boy that he is right*this*very*second. Mallory’s temper tantrums are a little tiring but she is a delight most of the time.
I love love love them.
