Man I miss posting here. Even my husband mentioned that I have been neglecting the blog lately. :-(
But it’s continued to be a busy couple of weeks with pictures to edit (some more than others…), Christmas cards to design (and re-design), and shopping to do.
I think we are ready for Christmas and I cannot WAIT to capture the look on Mallory’s face when she sees what Santa brought her. :-)

Carson is getting more mobile and brave every day. He pulls himself up on EVERY.THING. He finally started to crawl on his hands and knees (instead of the army crawl he’s been doing for months) and sometimes he even gets up on to his feet and does a crab walk thingy on his hands and feet. He can pull himself up on this little car push toy thing and will wobble his way across the living room. I need to search the blog to see when Mallory started doing that. She didn’t crawl until 8.5 months (which is what Carson is right now) but she walked at 10mos. Please tell me I have a while before he starts walking on his own.
Regarding food – we’ve yet to find a food he won’t eat – I even got Mallory to eat some avocado the other day by telling her it was ONLY for Carson. I’m soooo sneaky.
Mallory has been a bit of a struggle lately. She has been having some rough mornings where everything is a fight, which has made me incredibly late for work a lot. She doesn’t want to go potty, she wants to get dressed first. She doesn’t want to wash her hands in the bathroom, she wants to wash them in the kitchen. She doesn’t want to brush her teeth in her bathroom, she wants to do it upstairs in our bathroom. And any time she knows she’s about to be in big trouble for pouting and whining, she breaks out the “but I want a hug”. Apparently she thinks this will forgive her sins? It’s a little sweet, and I don’t want to discourage her from showing me some love, but it’s tough when she’s being a big fat PITA (that’s short for Pain In The A%%). I can’t help but wonder if she isn’t getting enough sleep at night, since it’s the morning that cause all the trouble? She wakes up almost every morning with tears and whining even before her feet hit the floor. It’s killing me.
Well, this is a lunchtime post so my time here is done. I have a bajillion pictures and some video to post but they are at home (I realized I have yet to post pictures from the OSU tailgate…that’s how far behind I am!)
I hope to see you all again soon!
i love the similarities between jack and mallory! he is so in this stage where he is affectionate to get out of things!
