One of my favorite new games to play with Mallory is the “how do YOU say ‘Carson’?” game.
She’ll say “Cah-thun” and I’ll say “Oh, CAH-son?”. She’ll say “NO – cah-THUN!” and I say “oh, cah-SON?” and she says, “NOOOO cah-THHHHHUN!”
I love her little two-almost-three-year-old speech thingies. LOVE LOVE LOVE them.
She still says “compuderer” for computer. And “lemolade” for lemonade. And she says “skuzers” for scissors (this is slowly sounding more like scissors instead of skuzers and it makes me sad… “cramera” for camera is gone too.)
The other day at school they had a table full of big …

Weekend Wrap-up
I am a slacker blogger. I have been lollygagging my way around posting this week – I don’t know quite why, since the mounds of laundry that I have to fold & put away and the messes that exist in my house are no indication that I’ve been spending my time doing anything particularly worthwhile. But I have been enjoying my children and trying to figure out how in the world other moms handle after school/work time if they work until 5p. I am home with my babies by 4.15p every afternoon and I still never sit down until they …
Pretty Girl Pictures (plus one of the Tank)
My friend Jen’s triplets turned one last week and Jen threw them the most fabulous party! Mallory was in heaven with all the snacks and sweets. Here she enjoying her second cupcake of the day…

I got to take pictures of Alli on Saturday too – here are my favorites of the girls (plus an extra of just Mallory)…
Christine & I were a little freaked out that our girls were big enough to actually go for a pony ride!
Best friends…almost three years old.
My angel
The Tankster.
He’s crawling!!
The pediatrician said yesterday that it wouldn’t be long before Carson started actually crawling…
For as much as Mallory is laughing about Carson crawling, I have a feeling that when he starts moving to grab her toys, she’s not going to think it’s very funny.
A quick lunchtime entry
I realized that while I’ve been sharing tons of pictures lately, I haven’t done much “this is what we’re up to” posts. And really, while you may like my pictures more than my words, this blog isn’t really about you – it’s about me, or rather my kids, and I need to do some writing to remember.

Carson had his 6-mo well-child visit yesterday. He weighs almost 19lbs and is 27.5”. Both are good numbers and the nurse commented “I don’t think we have to worry about him hitting 20lbs by the time he’s one!”. Um, I could …
Night games
This is how we watch night games in my house.
Everyone is asleep. It’s not even halftime yet.
Show Us Your Life – Tailgates and Favorite Teams
WARNING – THIS IS A VERY LONG BLOG POST!!!
One of the blogs I follow (Kelly’s Korner) has a regular “Show us your life” blog carnival, where she invites her readers to, well, show our life. Kelly is from the south and is a big Arkansas fan and it’s been fun to read how they do tailgating and football, etc, so when she had this theme, I just had to do a post about how “we” do it up here at Michigan! Plus, I don’t have my pre-baby life displayed on this blog anywhere, you know the stuff from when I …
Processed
So I took this picture of Mallory the other day and can’t decide how to “develop” it. The first one is SOOC (straight out of camera) and then the other ones are all manipulated in Adobe Lightroom (which I love {almost} as much Photoshop).
Which one(s) do you like best?
F is for…
My choice for F was pretty easy (well except for my debate over whether I should do F is for football or F is for friends…but anyway).
Mallory & Allison have been best friends ever since they started daycare the same week when they were just months old. One of my favorite things is when Mallory couldn’t say “Alli”, so she started to call her “Yaya”, and then EVERYONE at daycare started to call her Yaya – teachers, other kids, etc.
Now the girls are known collectively as “Mallison”.

“Hi Snuggly Boy”
That’s what Mallory calls Carson.
I mean, really. What almost three year old calls her little brother “Snuggly Boy”? Especially when I’ve NEVER called anyone that.
She is such a mama bear when it comes to her little brother. Just now, Cooper came tearing through the living room and made Carson cry. Mallory started yelling at Cooper to leave her brother alone. And then she went to Carson and told him it was OK.
Oh, and when they take a bath together, she sings “Ring Around the Rosie” with him and holds his hands and is silly. He just laughs …
