We spent New Years Day 2010 watching football. Unfortunately for us, Rick was watching football with us again this year.
There’s always next year.
ANY-way. My dad invited us over to my sister’s for dinner on New Years Day, and seeing as how we were looking at having pizza for the 3rd night that week, we happily accepted!
For some reason, I took pictures of all of us at the table. And in case you were wondering, my brother-in-law really does have a face (he’s not like Wilson from Home Improvement).
After a great dinner, we rocked out to Rock Band…at least until the kids started bugging us too much and we had to stop. But we are already planning a date night – we’ll take our kids to Emily’s, the sitter will watch all of them, and then Emily & Mike will come to our house and bring Rock Band. Rock on!
What? Me? Why, YES! I did get a haircut! My hair chick took direction well and chopped off my hair. I seem to have less & less wave in my hair as time goes on (damn kids) but I think I hoped that cutting it way shorter would bring back some of my body. Yeah, that plan didn’t work out so great for me. I’m still having a hard time figuring out how to “do” my new do and it’s frustrating. I’m sure it doesn’t help that I should have gotten the grey covered up at the same time.
*Apparently (according to my father) I used to say “Happy New Hair” instead of “Happy New Year” when I was little. And, like any good parent, my dad hasn’t stopped saying the funny things his kids used to say (the other being “ri-ri” for fix. One of my most common sayings as a child was “daddy ri-ri?”). ;-)
Wait is that babysitter me?!? I think it should be!! nobody can do it like me!!!!!!
Let’s see: “I took pictures of all of us at the table.” I think grampa was there and a few kids, too. What? You only got the “important” people?
