Carson, Mallory

That’s what she said

I can’t believe how much I’m not blogging lately. Things have gotten really busy with my photography business, which is good because it justifies the photography gadgets I’d probably want to buy anyway, but it means I don’t have the energy to remember and record all the funny things my kids do and say. I need to get back on track with that, even if it means carrying around a little notebook to write them down.

But, here’s a funny from yesterday. Mallory wanted to carry in my laptop bag yesterday and told us that she is “super ‘trong” (super strong).

And I can’t forget how she asks if we know the “muffin band” (muffin man).

If Cooper walks by her and hits her with his tail, or kisses her, or so much as looks at her, she says sternly, “NO COOPERS. No THANK you.”

Carson’s vocabulary is developing. I think he says “goggie” for dog, but I need more data to confirm. And I think he says “gaya” for daddy. But again, I need more data to confirm. We finally got him to start signing “more” but it isn’t the classic more sign language, it’s more of a reach and then a slight tapping together of a finger or two.

Carson is full-on mobile 24/7. He runs from one end of the house to the other, usually followed by his helicopter sister. She cannot leave him alone and I’d venture to guess that 80% of the times that he falls down it is because she has a hand on his back and pushes him – not on purpose but because she thinks she’s “helping” him.
