Here’s a roundup of our life lately:
- Our house is rented. They want to be in by the end of the month. This means we are in crazy mad packing mode, all while trying to get ready to leave town for Rick’s triathlon race.
- We’ll live with my dad for the time being but I would hate to overstay our welcome there…even though my dad is pretty excited about having RB around to help with the yard and other projects :-)
- We’re frantically trying to find a house that we like that meets all of our requirements. We recently saw two that we like a lot, but they are both great for *very* different reasons. I am usually very quick to make a decision, just to be done with it, but this is too big of a decision and we are really struggling.
- Cooper had two more seizures last week – one right after another, with a three-four minute break in the middle, so they count them as separate seizures. Plus the one he had last month = three in a month. WAY too many, according to the vet. So Coops gets blood drawn today and we’ll figure out what to do next.
- The dog STILL eats socks, diaper wipes, etc. Which he then pukes up in the night. Sweet, huh? I’m sure all the activity with four-million boxes isn’t helping his anxiety levels, but SWEET JESUS.
- We are all fighting colds. Mallory seems to be on the upswing of her cough, which is good, but Carson has had a rough week. Monday night he didn’t sleep – he was up screaming almost the entire night (so I was up trying to stop him from screaming almost the entire night). He’s got some pretty yucky snot production going on, and some ear rubbing, and now a cough. I am finally able to use my regular regimen of Nyquil and Sudafed to work on my cold and am feeling better. Hopefully everyone will be healthy for the triathlon trip!
- My photography business is keeping me unbelievably busy. I now have two more weddings on the books this year, plus two first birthday parties (too much cuteness!), some inquiries about senior sessions, all on top of the regular family sessions that are scattered about. It’s not the shooting time that is hard to fit in, its the time spent processing images, fulfilling orders, and general business development that take away from my blogging time and I am still sad that I have neglected my little corner of the web. I try to only do the computer work after the kids are in bed but with the packing that *should* be happening in my house, I’m way behind! All this on top of working full time makes for a crazy mama. But, the extra money is nice and we have a nice family vacation already planned for next year, thanks to my side gig!
So – the moral of the story is this – I PROMISE to get a post up this weekend catching you up on Mals & Cars. She has had some gems to add to archives and I have them recorded in a notebook at home so I wouldn’t forget to post them here!
WOW… Note, I miss you ;-)
