The weather was spectacular this week so I dragged the kids off to the pumpkin place by our house. I’m realizing that it’s harder to take pictures of my own kids that it is other people’s kids, at least when I have a specific thing I’m trying to accomplish…like a cute picture of my kids TOGETHER sitting with the pumpkins. Carson is at the age where he wants to do EVERYTHING his sister does, so if I want Mallory to sit on the side of the pumpkins, and want to have Carson stand next to her – Carson gives me a big fat WHAT-EVER and he tries to sit down next to her. Then if she starts to get silly, he starts to get silly. Blah.
So – here are some cute pictures of my kids NOT together at the pumpkin place.
Carson showing us a little GO BLUE!
Another new trick – showing me where his nose is (no, he’s not picking his nose)
Mallory giving me a cheesy grin. She thinks it’s a good thing when she shows her teeth like this. Oh, OK.
What I don’t have pictures of is the bite that Carson got on his tummy from a mean little girl at the pumpkin place. He was being a GREAT sharer of a wagon handle, and this little girl wasn’t being a good sharer. She wasn’t being super grumpy but just not happy that Carson would get turns. She was kneeling and leaned forward with an open mouth towards Carson’s tummy – and I thought she was giving him a kiss or something. But when leaned in again and her mom grabbed her and said “sorry” to me, and then Carson started SCREAMING – I realized what happened.
I didn’t know what to do! I never got reports from school of EITHER of my kids biting or being bit. Carson kept his eyes on that other girl the rest of the time we were at the pumpkin place. Then later on – this little girl had a big sister who was pretty rough on the hay stack, and was *thisclose* to pushing my kids out of the way of the entrance to the cave/tunnel thing, and thus I was *thisclose* to going all Mama Bear on her. But she left and took her mean biting sister with her, thank goodness.
My sweet boy has a bruise and a little broken skin on his tummy from that little girl. But, you’ve seen my baby’s tummy – I guess you can’t blame her. It’s a pretty yummy looking tummy.
Ummm, when taking photo of your son you might want to watch the placement of the pumpkin stem. LOL
Very cute photos!
Can we track down that girl’s identity? Grampa still has teeth! Paybacks are hell.
