Carson

The #8

Carson got his fourth haircut today. It makes me so sad to cut off his wingy curls but most of the time they are a fuzzy mess and I just can’t deal.

My biggest issue was the back…so my hair chick pulled out the clippers, and attempted to relax me by saying she was only using the #8.

I hope the curls don’t get mad and not come back when his hair gets thick enough to have the curls look cute instead of messy. I keep trying to remember how we got through this stage with Mallory – and I think it was with little pigtails (that the daycare ladies used to do!). Or because she is a girl, I took the time to actually comb her hair?

Anyway – here is my little boy with his new haircut. Keep the comments about “oh, he looks so grown up now!” and “he doesn’t look like a baby anymore” to yourselves, please.

IMG_9125 IMG_9132This one is an extra – for the past week or so, Carson’s been running around with his tongue in his cheek, like he’s got a big ole dip packed in there. For a day or two, I was trying to dig rocks out of his chipmunk cheeks, before I realized it was just his tongue all the time.

A post about what each of the kids is up to is on my to do list. Right along with finally posting about that trip we had to Disney in May. And our trip to NJ & NY in July. And our new house. Some day.

  1. Wow, he looks like he’s 48 years old.

Truly, being a kid with curly hair (not Jonas Brothers curly, more like Andy Sandberg without professionals) it got tacky looking around 2 inches, still does. I tried to pull off a pony tail in middle school and just ended up looking like Bozo the Clown when it wasn’t pulled back (not sure which was worse actually). My mom and Grandma thought my hair was pretty. Don’t let that be you and Carson.
