Just a quick post and run today on Thanksgiving – I’m actually hosting this year so I should probably not park myself in front of the computer all day!
Michigan has a game this weekend (first time in a long time that they’ve had a game Thanksgiving weekend) and it bums me out because this was always our first weekend to have Rick all to ourselves since football starts in August. But this year – not only do they have a game, it’s an away game, so after practice today (yes, there is practice on Thanksgiving, it’s ohio state week, for goodness sake) Rick has to travel south to Columbus. Blah.
So I’m hosting Thanksgiving this year, and we’ll eat during the little break Rick has between practice and leaving for Columbus. My sister was here all morning helping me get the turkey and stuffing and everything ready. My house is cleaner than it’s been before we moved in. I might have to host Thanksgiving every week.
Mallory is at Gigi’s with Lauren, Carson is in the middle of a big nap, and I should probably be doing something other than blogging, but I wanted to share a picture I took during my attempts to get a cute picture of my children for our Christmas cards. I had to crop out the part of the backdrop that got ripped from Carson was crawling through it. I’ve found it’s harder to take pictures of my own kids than it is of other people’s kids!
