In an attempt to get a jump on our holiday cards, and to take advantage of some decent November weather, I dragged everyone up to the park for a family photo session.

I had the tripod and the self-timer, but no way to get the kids (especially Carson) to look at the camera, so I asked three 10-ish year old boys who were walking through the park if they’d mind jumping around behind my camera so M & C would look in the direction. They were AWESOME and so cute and helpful – I made Rick give me some cash to pay them. One of them had on a t-shirt with a skeleton and Rick told him that one of the football players had a tattoo of that. Nice.

Anyway, Mallory wanted to take some pictures so we let her have at it. Then she went into FULL posing photographer-mode…and this is what resulted:

First – she popped out from behind the camera and told us to make this face:

Then she told us to make this face: IMG_1563

Then she told Rick to do the horns, and me to do other one:

Then we were each given our own “nice smile” pose:

This one involved her coming over and putting our feet how she wanted them:

Same with this one –

And the last one – she placed each of our hands in the exact spot that she wanted them.

There you have it – my bossy little girl’s day as a photographer. So entertaining.
